Each week beginning June 27th, the Project Wild America crew will have a theme to focus on throughout the week! These themes include Roger Tory Peterson early life/birds, amphibians and reptiles, invasive species (NYISAW), creatures of the night, and Wild America/Biodiversity.
EVENTS FOR SUMMER 2017!
WEEKLY READING AT JAMESTOWN PRENDERGAST LIBRARY
Please join us throughout the summer as we host different fun activities and tell stories during the family reading hour at the Jamestown Prendergast Library! Each week will have a different theme to educate and encourage environmental stewardship on how you can make the world a better place!
Beginning WEDNESDAY, *July 5th*, PWA will be taking over the family reading hour from 2-3pm!
***Beginning TUESDAY, *July 11th*, our readings will take place every TUESDAY from 2-3pm. The final reading will take place August 1st.
LISTEN TO US LIVE ON WJTN!
Beginning *July 8th*, every SATURDAY morning at 9 am throughout the summer, we will be meeting with host Dennis Webster for the “Saturday Breakfast Party” at Friendly’s. Each week, crew members from Project Wild America Youth Ambassadors will discuss upcoming events, updates on current projects, and any exciting discoveries!

MCCREA POINT OFFICIAL OPENING
SATURDAY, *July 8th*, come down to the McCrea Point Official Opening! Not only has this park been renovated and improved, but it is also home to various wildlife. At the Official Opening, Project Wild America Youth Ambassadors will have a table setup with information about the local specie and upcoming events, as well as field guides for purchase. Crew members will also be available to give walking tours to help you uncover the wild side of Jamestown!
JAMESTOWN FARMERS MARKET
We will also be at the Jamestown Farmers Market on SATURDAY, *July 15th*. Here, we will be offering holistic farming ideas and knowledge of native species that are great for planting in gardens.
RTPI’S WILD AMERICA NATURE FESTIVAL AT PANAMA ROCKS
SATURDAY, *July 29th (10am-7pm)* through SUNDAY, *July 30th (10am-5pm)*, PWA will be at the Wild America Nature Festival at Panama Rocks. This festival will include nature fine art and craft show, local food cook-off, live music, live animals, farmers market, and activities and fun for all ages! Join us as we celebrate Wild America!
