Each week beginning June 26th, the Project Wild America crew will have a theme to focus on throughout the week! These themes include Roger Tory Peterson early life/birds, amphibians and herpetofauna, invasive species (NYISAW), biodiversity/habitats, and Wild America/human impact.

Jamestown Farmer’s Market
On this Saturday, June 30th, the PWA crew will make its first appearance at the Jamestown Farmer’s Market! Come meet the new members of the crew, learn about our summer plans, and ask us any questions!

WEEKLY READING AT JAMESTOWN PRENDERGAST LIBRARY
Please join us throughout the summer as we host different fun activities and tell stories during the family reading hour at the Jamestown Prendergast Library! Each week will have a different theme to educate and encourage environmental stewardship on how you can make the world a better place!
Beginning TUESDAY, July 3rd (except July 17th), PWA will be taking over the family reading hour! Our readings will take place from 2-3pm. The final reading will take place July 31st.
LISTEN TO US LIVE ON WJTN!
Beginning June 30th, every SATURDAY morning at 9 am throughout the summer, we will be meeting with host Dennis Webster for the “Saturday Breakfast Party” at Friendly’s. Each week, crew members from Project Wild America Youth Ambassadors will discuss upcoming events, updates on current projects, and any exciting discoveries!

Ribbon Cutting for the Chadakoin Park Bike Path Grand Opening
PWA will also be at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Chadakoin Bike Path on Friday, June 29th at 1:30pm.
“Bridge Fest” – JAMESTOWN TWIN PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OPENING
Find us at the Grand Opening for the new bridges of the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk, on Saturday July 7th in downtown Jamestown. The Grand Opening will be at 10:30 followed by the festival from 11 am to 3 pm.
Chautauqua County Fair
Stop by our booth at the Chautauqua County Fair in Dunkirk, NY on Saturday, July 21st to learn about all the fun projects we are working on!
RTPI’S 2018 WILD AMERICA NATURE FESTIVAL AT PANAMA ROCKS
SATURDAY, July 28th (10am-7pm) through SUNDAY, July 29th (10am-5pm), PWA will be at the Wild America Nature Festival at Panama Rocks. This festival will include nature fine art and craft show, local food cook-off, live music, live animals, farmers market, and activities and fun for all ages! Join us as we celebrate Wild America!
Attend a workshop by Jennifer Ackerman, the author of the national best-seller, The Genius of the Birds. You can also learn about the Perils of Plastic with Dr. Sherri “Sam” Mason, an internationally known scientist and professor known for her ground-breaking research on the plastic crisis the world is currently facing.
