Projects

The Roger Tory Peterson Institute is involved in a variety of conservation and education projects worldwide. Project Wild America itself is an education program designed to spread interest and awareness about the wildlife that exists right here in Jamestown, New York. The Project Wild America crew has also contributed to a number of initiatives that RTPI has supported, including the “Meet Your Neighbours” photography project, the 2015 Chadakoin Report, and the Orbitist mapping program. Also worth noting is the Chautauqua-Allegheny Natural History Atlas, which is a great resource put together by RTPI staff that also serves as an education tool for both locals and tourists.
